Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [Legal entity name] ("we", "us"), which operates Family Clan. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Family Clan
You must be at least [minimum age, e.g. 18] years old and able to agree to these terms. Use your real name and your own mobile number. One account per person.
2. Your family, accurately
- Add only people who really are your relatives, with the relationship that's true.
- When you add a relative who isn't on the app, or share something about them (a memory, a health entry, the date they passed away), make sure they, or their close family, would be comfortable with it.
- Relatives you add on the app are asked to confirm before the relationship counts.
3. What's not allowed
- Fake profiles or pretending to be someone else.
- Harassing, threatening or abusing anyone.
- Asking for or collecting money through needs. Needs are for help and advice, not fundraising.
- Spam, scams, or selling to your relatives.
- Posting content that's illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, or that you don't have the right to share.
- Trying to access other people's information, or to break, overload or copy the service.
You can block or report anyone in the app. Profiles reported by several people are hidden from search while we review them, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
4. Your content
You own what you post: stories, photos, voice notes, needs and replies. You give us permission to store it and show it to the family members you share it with, only to run Family Clan. Deleting content or your account removes it as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Help from family, not professional advice
Relatives who help through Family Clan do so personally. Advice from a doctor, lawyer, chartered accountant or anyone else in your family is between you and them; it isn't professional advice from us, and we can't verify it. "Family verified" means two close relatives vouched for someone's profession; it isn't a licence check. Family health history is a record to share with your doctor, not a diagnosis.
In an emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
6. Memorial Mode
Close relatives can ask for the profile of someone who has passed away to be memorialised. It takes two close relatives, followed by 48 hours during which immediate family can object.
7. The service
Family Clan is in beta. Features may change, and we may suspend or end parts of the service. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time (Settings, then Delete account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put others at risk.
9. Liability
Family Clan is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what relatives say, advise or do. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in [city] have jurisdiction. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.
11. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Family Clan after that means you accept them.
